An eighteenth-century chair with a loop shape upper rear structure,
consisting of a one piece steam bent wooden arch, which is socketed
at each end into the shield style seat plank to enclose eleven hand
shaped spindles. A set of Bow Backs make a striking table appearance
when combined with the Continuous Arm chairs placed at the head of
the table.
